Pittcon 2025 Recap – Thank You for Visiting Specac and Harrick
Apr 8th 2025
Pittcon 2025 has come to a close, and it was a great opportunity to meet so many of you at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center from March 3rd to 5th. As always, Pittcon brought together a diverse group of scientists, researchers, and industry professionals, all looking to explore the latest advancements in laboratory technology and analytical methods.

Hands-On with Harrick and Specac's Spectroscopy Accessories
At Booth #554, we had some great conversations about spectroscopy technologies. It was great to see the interest in:
- The Praying Mantis™ diffuse reflectance accessory, widely used for catalysis studies and in situ reaction monitoring using DRIFTS.
- The Spyder™ process flow cell, designed for online NIR analysis in lab-scale and pilot plant environments.
- A variety of accessories for solid, liquid, and gas analysis, supporting routine and advanced spectroscopy applications.
Tech Talk Highlights: Praying Mantis™ in DRIFTS
One of the highlights of the show was a Tech Talk by our application scientist, Jim Delany, where he covered the versatility of the Praying Mantis™ for DRIFTS applications. It was a great deep dive into how this accessory helps researchers get more from their spectroscopic data.
See You Next Time!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, asked questions, and shared insights. Events like Pittcon remind us how important in-person discussions are for advancing analytical science. If you’d like to follow up on anything we showcased, feel free to reach out – we’re always happy to continue the conversation.
See you at the next event!
