Brewster's Angle Sample Holder

Our Brewster’s Angle Sample Holder allows thin films to be measured at various angles using transmission spectroscopy. Such measurements can be used to extract film thickness and refractive index data from the resulting interference fringes present under most conditions. It also allows minimization of these fringes since the sample can be positioned at Brewster’s angle, where p-polarization light is transmitted through a surface with minimal reflection.

• Eliminates interference fringes which often obscure weak absorption bands when used with a polarizer.
